Auskick 2025
Auskick Rookie
Auskick Rookie is where champions begin.
Auskick Rookie is a fun, engaging program that teaches the basic skills of AFL (kicking, handballing and marking). Auskick Rookie also teaches children the key attributes and qualities that make a great AFL player: teamwork, sportsmanship and commitment.
The Auskick Rookie program is completely non-contact, and a safe, welcoming environment for all.
The program is for children of all abilities, who
- are turning 5 or 6 in 2025
- are turning 7 in 2025 and are not yet ready for the next level, Auskick Pro
- who have special needs, are up to 9 years of age, and have the ability to catch and kick a ball.

Auskick Pro
For many of the Auskickers, Auskick Pros (Under 8s) is the exciting next step in their footy journey. The program is for children turning 7 or 8 in 2025 (born in 2017 or 2018). The Jets offers Mixed and Girls only teams.
Each Saturday from Term 2, Auskick Pros will get to play non-contact AFL games against opposition clubs at locations across Canberra's north and south, such as Aranda, Amaroo, Holt, Reid and Kambah.
Games start at 1:30pm and finish by 2:30pm.
In Auskick Pro, the ground is separated into three zones: forwards, mids and backs. Coaches rotate players across the zones during the match. No scores are recorded, with the focus of games being teaching AFL skills and having fun.
Just like older age groups, the Auskick Pros will have an optional training session during the week. Auskick Pro training commences in March.
