Netball
About
Jets Netball first debuted in the 2017 season of the North Canberra Netball Competition with just two teams, in 2018 we doubled to four teams and in 2019 grew exponentially to seven teams– taking away the division four seniors Premiership for 2019. The COVID-19 pandemic saw a slight slow down in our growth, as we were only able to field eight teams. However, 2020 also saw the introduction of our first all-abilities team, of whom we are incredibly proud!
Our club caters for a range of skills and passion, so whether you played netball at school and want to get back into it, just want to try a new sport, or are an aspiring Diamonds player, we have the team for you!
What We Offer
The Jets provide competitive and social netball opportunities for players, umpires and coaches of all levels of experience and ability. We have a strong community presence throughout the entire Gungahlin region but are also delighted to accept enquiries from anyone in the broader Canberra area.
Being a football-netball club, we have a strong established relationship with the football side of operations, which have in the past resulted in joint training sessions with the women’s football team, mixed sport social events (including a mid-year ball, trivia night and other events), and reciprocal benefits with football club sponsors and supporters.
At the Jets, we want all members to feel valued and have a shared sense of belonging. The heart of our club is reflected in the unofficial club slogans: #oneclubonefamily and #nojetfliesalone, and we encourage respectful and supportive conduct of all members and their families and friends, both on and off the court, at all times.
All new players, regardless of skill level or experience are welcome so please don’t hesitate to get in touch. There is plenty of court for everyone!
