Jets Netball

Jets Netball, affiliates of the Gungahlin Jets Football Club, are an inclusive club for ages 16+. We are the first football-netball club in the ACT, and we embody the community spirit and family focus of the Football Club.

Jets Netball first debuted in the 2017 season of the North Canberra Netball Competition with just two teams, in 2018 we doubled to four teams and in 2019 grew exponentially to seven teams from cadets to division two seniors – taking away the division four seniors Premiership for 2019.

Our club caters for a range of skills and passion, so whether you played netball at school and want to get back into it, just want to try a new sport, or are an aspiring Diamonds player, we have the team for you!

The Jets provide competitive and social netball opportunities for players, umpires and coaches of all levels of experience and ability. We have a strong community presence throughout the entire Gungahlin region but are also delighted to accept enquiries from anyone in the broader Canberra area.

Being a football-netball club, we have a strong established relationship with the football side of operations, which have in the past resulted in joint training sessions with the women’s football team, mixed sport social events (including a mid-year ball, trivia night and other events), and reciprocal benefits with football club sponsors and supporters.

At the Jets, we want all members to feel valued and have a shared sense of belonging. The heart of our club is reflected in the unofficial club slogans: #oneclubonefamily and #nojetfliesalone, and we encourage respectful and supportive conduct of all members and their families and friends, both on and off the court, at all times.

All new players, regardless of skill level or experience are welcome so please don’t hesitate to get in touch. There is plenty of court for everyone!

It’s a new year which brings with it a new committee. A big thank to you to the previous committee, and those who volunteered their time to the running of the club in 2019.

The 2020 committee are excited for the opportunities that the new season brings, and are passionate about continuing to develop the club to ensure players not only love playing netball, but that they love being a Jet!

2020 FEES

Registration fees for Jets Netballers in 2020 are $220 per player. The Jets value our umpires and choose to pay them a more generous figure per game. This is reflected in our registration fees.

Split payments are not available via online registration, so please contact Chrissie Erickson, club Treasurer at netball@gungahlinjets.com.au if you would like to discuss payment options.

In 2020, the official Jets uniform consists of the Jets dress. To supplement this, you may also wear plain black leggings (ankle length) and/or a plain black long sleeved shirt underneath your dress and/or black shorts no longer than the hem of your netball dress.

The Jets dress is available to purchase for $85, along with all Jets Merchandise, via the TeamApp. We also have a limited range of second hand dresses for sale. Please enquire about second hand dresses at netball@gungahlinjets.com.au
