Club stalwart, Josh ‘Tellsy’ Bartels ticked over his 100th* game against Tuggeranong during Jets Day, on 25 May.
Tellsy is the epitome of Jets Football. He lives and breathes the values of the club.
You will often find him on game day setting up for the womens matches, and then running water. Then he plays and coaches the mens second grade team. And when thats done, he is helping out the mens first grade (including playing!). He is one of the last ones at the ground taking down posts and cleaning up. And that is just game day… during the week you may be surprised to learn that he doesn’t actually live at the Hangar – he is just constantly there ensuring equipment is ready for all Jets teams.
Tellsy, you’re a legend of the club, and we are so proud of your 100* game milestone.
The reason the Jets are successful is because of people like you, and the life you inject into the club.
So, on behalf of the Jets – thank you. And of course, thank you to Shae (the much better half, and Board Secretary) for allowing you to do what you do for the club. What a a power couple!
Love, the Jets
*Due to PlayHQ input, there is a possibility it may have been his ~103rd game 🙂
