Call for Junior Coaches and Assistant Coaches (volunteer – non-competitive age groups)

The Gungahlin Jets Junior Football Club is seeking expressions of interest from those interested in coaching the following non-competitive age groups in 2021:

  • Under 10 – Mixed
  • Under 9 – Mixed
  • Auskick Pro – U8 Mixed

Applicants are to email Jarrod Howard and Rob McElhinney at juniors@gungahlinjets.com.au outlining their interest, and should include their preferred age group.  No specific coaching experience or qualifications is necessary.

The number of teams entered in the 2021 season will be confirmed once player registrations are finalised.

The Gungahlin Jets welcome, and encourage, applications from males and females.

Requirements – Certifications

  • Working with Vulnerable People Card (or willing and able to obtain)
  • Level 1 coaching accreditation (or willing and able to obtain)

The Club will cover the cost to obtain the above certifications.

Requirements – Personal

  • Positive role model
  • Knowledge of, and passion for AFL
  • Sound communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to inspire, motivate, and encourage junior players

Expressions of interest should include the role(s) you are interested in, any relevant experience and a summary as to why you would like the role and how you will support the club in the development of junior players.

It should be noted that the above process may result in a successful appointment; alternatively, the club may ask for further information or an interview.
